Using contentment to keep at it
Keeping going can be almost as hard as starting up.
To start takes courage. The first step takes a willingness to put ourselves out there before we believe we’re ready because we all know that if we wait for ‘ready’ we’ll never get anything out of the door.
To keep going requires faith. Faith that we’ve taken the right decision, that we’ve focused on the right thing and we’re doing it in the right way.
Success comes from being able to do both of these with equal commitment. Starting takes the drive and passion to get the momentum started, keeping going requires the dedication and passion of long-term rewards for our work right now.
Being content with yourself and you decisions – allowing yourself permission to keep going even when you’re not sure – gives us that extra bit of a push to stop us from stopping.
