Gretchen Rubin of the Happiness Project helped me realise the importance of going analogue in some situations.
She’s a big note-take (much like me) and uses a small notebook to write things down in every day conversations, which she spoke about in her post with tips for making people feel smart.
It made me think: sometimes analogue is just the right way to go. (Tweet this)
I use Evernote and Simplenote to store a lot of my middle-of-the-day thinking and inspiration, but it’s rude to pull out your phone mid-conversation. Do it with a cute little notebook notebook, however, and people will be flattered that you’re listening carefully enough to want to write down their wisom, not put off by what they will assume is you checking emails.
Try analogue and see where it gets you.
